We also specialize in laser treatments for perio surgery, and teeth whitening with minimal or no post-operative sensitivity.

How long have you been in practice?

Dr. Ciminera has been practicing dentistry on Long Island since 2001. She has previously practiced in Smithtown, NY. She founded her current office in 2010 to serve the community where she resides with her family as well as neighboring residents in a new state of the art dental practice.

Do you offer pediatric dentistry?

Our practice provides dental health care to children of all ages. We follow the Academy of Pediatrics recommendations for providing dental health care beginning at early age. Dr. Ciminera has been providing toddler and adolescent dental care for more than a decade. She focuses on preventive treatment and engages each child to help make the visit to the dentist a pleasant and restful experience.

Will I get a cleaning at the first appointment?

Typically your first visit will include a complete cleaning and oral examination. If, however, you are seeking dental treatment because you are experiencing pain or discomfort, then we will schedule a follow-up visit for your cleaning.

How often should I get my teeth cleaned?

The frequency of cleaning depends on the health of your periodontium or gum tissue. Every individual’s mouth and oral health is different. A patient with no periodontal issues should have two cleanings and two exams each year to maintain optimum oral health. Patients with periodontal issues should have four cleanings each year with examinations to monitor bone and gum levels.

Do you accept insurance?

We will be more than happy to submit all insurance forms for you and help you recover the most from your benefits. For patients who require major work, a complete payment plan is designed with an appropriate payment schedule that works for you.
